This course is for nail techs already qualified in gel polish to gain more skills and services to offer to your clients. It will provide you with all the necessary skills and an industry recognised qualification. The course is fully accredited.
To do this course you will need to be already qualified in gel polish and wanting to learn and qualify in Builder Gel. It will provide you with all the necessary skills needed and an industry recognised qualification.
Gel polish qualification required.
We will require students to arrive at 9:30am, we will begin the day with welcome drinks and a brief introduction along with handing out our course manuals. We will then move swiftly onto the theory side followed by the step by step process of applying Builder Gel. Our educator will then demonstrate one nail application of Builder Gel for you to then practice on another student/model. We will be there on hand to help guide you through the process and be there to answer any questions. We will also offer free marketing advice and also give you the opportunity to have a end of day photo workshop.
Following the day you will be able to gain insurance to start offering your treatments to paying clients. Our courses are accredited and we’ll provide you with a list of approved insurers.
On completing the day course, you will be presented with a fully accredited qualification that will allow for you to go on and get insurance and provide these services as a professional nail technician.
What qualification will you receive
On completing the course you will receive a LUX Beauty Training Academy certificate, fully accredited. In addition to developing your skill set this also allows for you to obtain liability insurance so that you can start offering treatments to paying clients, from either your home, mobile, or employed at a salon.
How to book your date
If you are ready to book, simply add the course by clicking the 'add to cart' button - we need to collect some information from you, such as name, address, contact number and here you will be able to chose your payment method. On completing the order, a member of the LBTA team will be in touch to arrange for an available date that you are able to attend.
Starter kit
There isn't a starter kit including with this course, however, you are provided with all the equipment and products you need in order to complete the practical side of the training on the day.

When will my course be?
We will be in touch after you purchase your course to arrange the next available date for you to attend our courses. We run courses Mon-to-Saturday.
We ensure that classes are kept small, and will give you several options so that you can pick a date that suits your availability.
Do I need any previous experience?
Our courses are designed for beginners, so you need absolutely no previous experience to start.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do - you can spread the cost of your course over 12 months at 0% APR. Contact us for more information on how to do this.
How long does it take?
We have 1 & 2 day courses.
Do I need to bring anything?
All equipment is provided for you by LBTA for use during your training day. We'll also have a lunch break around 1pm and have lots of local shops at all our locations for a quick bite to eat.
Will there be other students?
We keep classes small (no more than 5 students - please note 2 day course will be 10 students), we also have multiple tutors on the day to ensure you get the attention and time you need.
What if I struggle?
Our tutors are always on hand to answer any questions you may have, you can simply ask one of the tutors for help, we'll be with you every step of the way to help with any concerns or thoughts you may have.
When will my assessment be?
Your assessment will be on the same day. Students arrive and the first part is theory, after that, we concentrate on the practical side, developing your skills step-by-step until you are fully competent and meet the standard. After this, we'll assess your ability and on meeting the criteria, we will then qualify you - to date we've had a 100% pass rate.
Will I receive a qualification?
On passing the course, you will receive a LBTA training certificate, fully accredited.
Is there a dress-code?
Not at all, we just advise that you wear something that makes you feel comfortable.
Do I need a model?
Pre-covid, this was the case and sometimes we used to supply the models too - we prefer for students to learn on real hands.
However, due to new restrictions from the pandemic, classes are strictly student only and because of this, students work on each other taking turns to practice. We actually find this to have some extra benefits.
