This course will guide you through the process of completing a full set of Full Cover Gel Extensions so that you can start offering this treatment to clients. This new and exciting treatment is taking the nail industry by storm and is growing more and more popular in the UK, so start offering it now before your competition does!

Previous Gel Polish certificate required.


Learning objectives:

  • Salon health, safety and hygiene.
  • The nail structure, anatomy and physiology.
  • Understand contraindications.
  • Have knowledge on how to consult, advise and prepare for your client. 
  • Be able to complete a set of full cover gel extensions competently.
  • Advise client on aftercare and follow up appointments.
  • Be able to maintain clients’ nails.

Structure The Dual Day Course

We require students to arrive at our academy for 9.30am, the day will begin with a brief introduction, refreshments and handing out training manuals. We will then move swiftly onto the theory and step by step of completing a full set of full cover gel nail extensions. We will then have a short lunch break whilst we set up for the practical assessment. Our educator will then demonstrate a full cover gel extension application on one nail and then you will then complete the other nails. We will be on hand to help and guide you throughout your day and would encourage you to ask if you are ever in doubt. We will then end our day with a question and answer and a little advice on your next steps and where to take your nail career from here. You will then have your final appraisal where you will become qualified in Full Cover Gel Extensions.


Insurance

    When will my course be?

    We will be in touch after you purchase your course to arrange the next available date for you to attend our courses. We run courses Mon-to-Saturday.

    We ensure that classes are kept small, and will give you several options so that you can pick a date that suits your availability.

    Do I need any previous experience?

    Our courses are designed for beginners, so you need absolutely no previous experience to start.

    Do you offer payment plans?

    Yes we do - you can spread the cost of your course over 12 months at 0% APR. Contact us for more information on how to do this.

    How long does it take?

    We have 1 & 2 day courses.

    Do I need to bring anything?

    All equipment is provided for you by LBTA for use during your training day. We'll also have a lunch break around 1pm and have lots of local shops at all our locations for a quick bite to eat.

    Will there be other students?

    We keep classes small (no more than 5 students - please note 2 day course will be 10 students), we also have multiple tutors on the day to ensure you get the attention and time you need.

    What if I struggle?

    Our tutors are always on hand to answer any questions you may have, you can simply ask one of the tutors for help, we'll be with you every step of the way to help with any concerns or thoughts you may have.

    When will my assessment be?

    Your assessment will be on the same day. Students arrive and the first part is theory, after that, we concentrate on the practical side, developing your skills step-by-step until you are fully competent and meet the standard. After this, we'll assess your ability and on meeting the criteria, we will then qualify you - to date we've had a 100% pass rate.

    Will I receive a qualification?

    On passing the course, you will receive a LBTA training certificate, fully accredited.

    Is there a dress-code?

    Not at all, we just advise that you wear something that makes you feel comfortable.

    Do I need a model?

    Pre-covid, this was the case and sometimes we used to supply the models too - we prefer for students to learn on real hands.
    However, due to new restrictions from the pandemic, classes are strictly student only and because of this, students work on each other taking turns to practice. We actually find this to have some extra benefits.
