    FAQs

    When will my course be?

    We will be in touch after you purchase your course to arrange the next available date for you to attend our courses. We run courses Mon-to-Saturday.

    We ensure that classes are kept small, and will give you several options so that you can pick a date that suits your availability.

    Do I need any previous experience?

    Our courses are designed for beginners, so you need absolutely no previous experience to start.

    Do you offer payment plans?

    Yes we do - you can spread the cost of your course over 12 months at 0% APR. Contact us for more information on how to do this.

    How long does it take?

    We have 1 & 2 day courses.

    Do I need to bring anything?

    All equipment is provided for you by LBTA for use during your training day. We'll also have a lunch break around 1pm and have lots of local shops at all our locations for a quick bite to eat.

    Will there be other students?

    We keep classes small (no more than 5 students - please note 2 day course will be 10 students), we also have multiple tutors on the day to ensure you get the attention and time you need.

    What if I struggle?

    Our tutors are always on hand to answer any questions you may have, you can simply ask one of the tutors for help, we'll be with you every step of the way to help with any concerns or thoughts you may have.

    When will my assessment be?

    Your assessment will be on the same day. Students arrive and the first part is theory, after that, we concentrate on the practical side, developing your skills step-by-step until you are fully competent and meet the standard. After this, we'll assess your ability and on meeting the criteria, we will then qualify you - to date we've had a 100% pass rate.

    Will I receive a qualification?

    On passing the course, you will receive a LBTA training certificate, fully accredited.

    Is there a dress-code?

    Not at all, we just advise that you wear something that makes you feel comfortable.

    Do I need a model?

    Pre-covid, this was the case and sometimes we used to supply the models too - we prefer for students to learn on real hands.
    However, due to new restrictions from the pandemic, classes are strictly student only and because of this, students work on each other taking turns to practice. We actually find this to have some extra benefits.

    Our training academy is in Cannock, Staffordshire.

    What a lovely group of girls. All welcoming and made me feel at ease. They gave us an indepth introduction to the course which we was studying: individual eyelash extension course. Then moved onto our own training heads and kit provided to use. With help from 2 trained girls for support throughout and monitoring. Then we had practised on each other. After we was reassured and given certificates and contact details to a private group for access for support if needed in the future. Shall definitely come back for more training.     Absolutely lovely girls in the salon. Did a individual lash course today and they made me feel so comfortable. Only small groups so get enough 1-1 time to concentrate on areas you don’t feel 100% on. Will definitely be returning to do another course. Give you all the tips and tricks to expand your clientele.     I cannot recommend Lux training academy anymore for training, both charl and chantelle are absolutely amazing and help anytime you need that little push. I was so nervous to start with but as soon as I walked into the course all my worry went away and I started to feel really happy and a little more confident.     I couldn't recommend a better beauty academy! I came across Lux on social media after hunting for lash extension courses, I enquired and spoke to the lovely Charlotte. I just had a baby and was dreading leaving her for a even a few hours, but once I was at Lux the hours just flew because I was enjoying myself so much! All of the staff are so kind and friendly and the training is spot on. The course took 6 hours and I walked away feeling confident and qualified!
